Jimmy Flynn or officially James Ballantyne is a marketing manager who specalises in
social media, graphic design and web design. As well as marketing, he also has a legal background.

While officially James, everyone has called me Jimmy since high school. In my short working career, I have worked in a number of marketing jobs both for employment and freelance.
Previously I have been employed by Ballantynes Department Store (no relation) initially in sales and then in the marketing department, becoming Online Content Manager. Responsibilities in that role included all social media, weekly emails to customers, event management, analytics and website management.
In June 2017, I completed my legal professionals (PROFS) and left New Zealand to travel through Europe for 4 months. During travel, I worked remotely as a marketing manager. Upon returning to New Zealand in October 2017, I was admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
Currently, I continue to work as a marketing manager for Nextdore and I also do freelance work.
Photography has long been an interest and passion of mine. I love taking portraits and my DSLR is always packed when I travel.
I've played the piano since age six and have sat the Associated Board's Royal School of Music grade exams. I have also written choral pieces that have been performed in the New Zealand Big Sing competition.
I have a keen interest in public law. In my later years of University, I took Constitutional and Administrative Law papers and wrote a number of articles within this field.
I'm always researching for my next trip. I have always loved travelling, and have been lucky to visit the UK, France, Italy, Greece, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong and the USA.
